How To Treat Lesions
The most recognized brand is the Candela Vbeam Laser®, a type of pulsed dye laser. It is used to treat a wide array of vascular, pigmented, and certain non-pigmented lesions, with a low incidence of side effects. Frequency of treatments range from once a month to once every 2 to 3 months depending on the condition being treated.
How does it work:
The Vbeam Laser System is a flashlamp-excited pulsed dye laser which delivers pulsed laser energy at a wavelength of 595nm that passes through the dermis and epidermis skin layers and is absorbed by the oxyhemoglobin in the blood vessels rather than by the surrounding tissue.
